We do not grieve as those who have no hope.
I Thessalonians 4:13-18

GriefHope
Grieving with Hope, Living with Hope
GriefHope existed informally and formally from 2021-2024 as a Christ-centered ministry that provided education and support for bereaved parents through weekend retreats, online support, and resources to encourage reflection, growth, and fellowship. GriefHope officially dissolved as a non-profit late 2024 and is no longer providing services.

We now partner with While We're Waiting ministry to bereaved parents. Please see their website for additional information and a list of upcoming retreats. Indiana retreats are held in Noblesville, Indiana at Shunem House.

About Us
GriefHope was founded by Shawnda Freer. She and her husband, Keith have been married for 35 years. They have two children, Meghan & Andrew. Andrew is a young adult, married to Anna. In May 2018, at the age of 21, Meghan went to Heaven. For the Freers, child loss opened new areas of understanding about the character of God, the hope of Jesus, the truth of Scripture, and the pain of grief. Keith and Shawnda now come alongside bereaved parents to grieve, grow, and learn together.
